Group and Education Tours
School groups
All school groups can make a reservation for a self-guided visit Tuesday through Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Guided Adaptation tours are available to 3rd-5th grade classes during the school year. Click here for more information on the Adaptation tours.
All San Francisco public and private school groups have free admission to the Conservatory with advance reservations. Fees for school groups outside San Francisco city limits are as follows: youth ages 12-17 are $5.00; university/college students are $5.00; children ages 5-11 are $2.00; children ages 4 and under are admitted for free.
Note: All school groups must have a 1:6 ratio of staff/chaperone to student. To encourage parental participation, chaperones are admitted for free.
Group visits
Groups are welcome to visit the Conservatory of Flowers Tuesday through Saturday. We recommend booking your reservation from 11:15 a.m. and after during the school year. When school is out of session, we recommend booking your reservation from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. For guided tour requests for groups of 20 people or less, please make your reservation at least 3 weeks before your planned tour date and time. Admission cost is $7.00 for adults, and $5.00 for seniors 65 and over. There are no group discounts and we do not accept admission payment in advance
To make a reservation, send an e-mail with subject list "Reservation Request" to Michelle Manzer, Guest Services Manager at mmanzer@sfcof.org and include the following information:
group name,
contact name and phone number,
date of trip, time,
and the number of people in group.
We will check date, time and docent (if requested) availability and e-mail a confirmation. If your group is smaller than 15, you will not need a reservation. Please note: Groups larger than 15 who do not pre-book may encounter entry lines. We do not recommend group visits on Sunday as all roads in Golden Gate Park are closed to vehicle traffic.
