The National Trust's Save America's Treasures and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton adopt the Conservatory. |

Friends of Recreation & Parks' Board of Trustees votes to lead a multimillion-dollar fundraising effort to restore the Conservatory. |

The San Francisco Garden Club donates funds to build a temporary greenhouse behind the Conservatory. |

Phase I restoration work on the Conservatory begins. |

Phase I is completed and Phase II begins in the West Wing. |
