The Conservatory is available to rent for ceremony, cocktail hour, seated dinner and dancing receptions. Host it all or scale it down. View our Brochure for a detailed walk through Conservatory weddings.
Wedding guests move through the landmark facility throughout the evening, and appreciate the ease of ceremony and reception all in one place. They'll enjoy reserved parking (a rare perk for drivers in San Francisco) in the Dahlia Garden, where the city's official flower is at its magnificent peak July through October.
We work with an exclusive list of outside caterers and lighting specialists. View the Approved Vendor List, which also includes our local favorites for other wedding services.
Weddings may be held year-round, daily, starting at 6:00 p.m. Additional fees may apply for holidays and Sundays.
For a quote, email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information: preferred date of rental, estimated number of guests, and type of event.
To book your date, we require a site visit, signed rental contract and 25% deposit.

Our guests loved the setting, and enjoyed the dynamic effect of starting outdoors in Golden Gate Park, then walking through the exhibits and mingling during cocktail hour... The history, architecture, nature, flowers...it's ideal.

What really sold us was realizing we would always be able to go back and visit the place where we got married. Since the Conservatory is a historical landmark, it wasn't going to get turned into an autobody shop or replaced by a supermarket. It made us happy to think about celebrating our 20th (or 5th or 45th!) anniversary by going back to visit the place where all of our friends and family had gathered to celebrate our big day...
It is hard to describe how much of a relief it was, as our wedding day approached, to have so much confidence in our venue's staff. Annie consistently made herself available, answering our millions of questions, making helpful suggestions, and bringing her knowledge and enthusiasm to every interaction we had. She seemed invested in helping us to make the Conservatory into our space for the evening. She helped us to think within the parameters of the venue, but really allowed us to make it our for the night...
A month later, our guests are still talking about what an amazing venue the Conservatory was, and how incredible it was to spend an evening there. Over and over again we have heard how perfect it was for our wedding: special without being stuffy, simultaneously sophisticated and sweet, totally fun, and just plain cool. We can't thank the staff there enough for making our wedding day such a happy one. The Conservatory will always have a special place in our hearts.

We chose the Conservatory of Flowers for a multitude of reasons including the ambiance, the professionalism of the staff, and the value. Our wedding couldn’t have turned out better, and all of our guests loved the exotic and unique atmosphere of the Conservatory. We’re very happy we chose the Conservatory of Flowers, and we’d recommend the venue and its staff in a heartbeat!

The Conservatory of Flowers offers evening rentals for a wide range of events. Whether you're booking a corporate event, hosting a cocktail party, planning your wedding or 25th anniversary party, the Conservatory of Flowers is by far one of the most unique sites in the Bay Area. This historic facility, located in Golden Gate Park, boasts five exhibit spaces with exotic plants and flowers from all over the world. Each gallery showcases unique plants and flowers, custom metal work and architectural beauty throughout the building. Our Special Exhibit Gallery changes twice a year and provides visitors with an in depth look at specific plant and flower habitats.
Almost everything should take place at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers greenhouse and botanical garden -- weddings, baby showers, birthdays; it would almost even be okay to lose a cell phone or drop a bowling ball on your toe if it happened at the Conservatory of Flowers. It's that lovely.
